Become a Crusader

Welcome to the Rockford Lutheran School, home of the Crusaders. RLS is a co-educational, private, Christian school serving more than 700 students from age-3 preschool to grade 12 from across the wider Stateline-area.

Crusaders are more than a score, a grade, a place on a team, or a chair in the band. Students are reminded daily that their true identity is as a child of God. Lutheran sees the big picture grounding in the rich traditions of Lutheran education – a picture of faith formation combined with academic rigor. We develop servants for the Kingdom, priding ourselves on providing leadership opportunities for students in worship, in the classroom, and in service to others. We blend a strong college prep curriculum with opportunities for the arts, co-curricular activities, service, and athletics to help each student mature and grow as a young Christian.

We’re large enough to provide many different opportunities for you to explore, yet small enough for you to find your niche. Together with your church and family, we help you grow in your faith, develop your strengths, and meet the challenge of new opportunities.

We know that you have many private school options in the Rockford area. The challenge is finding the best fit for you and your family's values and priorities.

Please contact our Admissions Team at 815-877-9551 or admissions@rockfordlutheran.org for more information or to set up a visit.
